Same issue. My (Ubuntu 22.04.1) server has disappeared, whilst I can still see my friend’s Windows-based Plex server.
While trying to troubleshoot the issue I’ve deleted the server from Authorized Devices and now I can’t get the server back at all. I can still access the http://server:32400/web/ URL and it’s working fine, but the server is completely missing from WebUI nor can I set it up anew.
apt reports the following version information: plexmediaserver/public,now 1.29.2.6364-6d72b0cf6 amd64 [installed]. Installed from plex repo. Tried editing the Preferences.xml file and it makes no difference at all.
@dane22 any suggestions for me? Server disappeared from everywhere last night, I could still see the list of friends I’ve granted access, but when I clicked on any of them it didn’t show what they had access to.
I was ready to set everything up again, so I deleted the server from authorized devices, now while I can browse the WebUI at a local IP:32400, I don’t see anywhere where I could add a server to my account. I’ve tried deleting (well, moving) the old library and purging/reinstalling plexmediaserver from plex repo and it’s still stuck in limbo, when I open ip:32400/web/ I get the prompt to login and once I do, there’s no way to add a new server.
UPDATE: Forgot to mention the detail – if I remove the library and the plexmediaserver package and reinstall it (to have a fresh library created), once I sign into my account I get the following message: Not authorized You do not have access to this server.
@FordGuy61@ChuckPa thank you gentlemen for your prompt replies, I was able to register the new server thru the SSH tunnel and has already rebuilt the libraries. That github script would have been helpful had I known about it.
