Not display my media server

Server Version#:v1.24.5.5173-8dcc73a59
Player Version#: 4.63.0

hi.

I logged out of the account linked to PLEX, which was previously authenticated and operated normally in order to try various things.
And the linked server was also removed.
But when I log in to my account again, the media server is not displayed.
Does anyone know how to solve it?

Are you opening it by the LAN IP address ?

First time you open it after logging out

You must use the LAN IP (or http://127.0.0.1:32400/web) to claim (sign in) again to your account.

You should also SIGN OUT of Plex/web and open an incognito window to guarantee it won’t be confused by browser cookies

Running Plex on Synology DSM 6.2.4-25556 Update 2.
Plex Server version 1.18.5.2309.

I am having the exact same issue today. I have signed out of all of my devices and back in and I still get nothing, even when signing in via the browser.

@ShadyBirch

What is the Syno LAN IP
What is the LAN IP of the computer you’re using?

Everything is on the same 10.0.0.x network. I have multiple AppleTV devices that all use Plex.

I have an AppleTV in an upstairs bedroom was able to see and play all of the content, but the others in the house could not.

As a test, I signed out of Plex on the AppleTV that was working, and when I signed back in, it exhibited the same no-content problem.

I have the same issue when trying to access via a web browser. I can sign into the server, but none of my content is displayed, and yes, I confirmed that the content is still there.

This is NOT a network issue.

@ShadyBirch

  1. I’m not doubting the content is still there
  2. May I have the DEBUG logs ZIP file please ? I can’t diagnose this without them. I need to see the traffic exchanges

As I’m new to this forum, I had to go and find out how to retrieve the logs from my NAS. The official instructions were unhelpful, so I went hunting through the control panel and noticed that the Synology Quickconnect feature wasn’t working. Now distracted, I went to fix the Quickconnect issue, where Synology recommended that I change the DNS settings on my NAS to Google’s DNS (8.8.8.8) from the default of my router’s DNS…

…and Plex suddenly started working again. I don’t understand why, as all of the other devices on my network use the router’s DNS, and it’s been that way since I set it up originally.

So, I retract my statement that it’s NOT a network issue! I’m guessing it was a Synology update, that changed things, but I don’t recall a recent update for my NAS.

Yep, I was headed in that direction (DNS).

For reasons unknown, some ISP DNS servers are either slow or just don’t work right when it comes to Plex.

Switching DNS to 8.8.8.8 / 8.8.4.4 , or even 1.1.1.1 solves the problems.

Running Plex on QNAP 451+
Server Version#:v1.25.0
Player Version#: 4.66.1

I’m running into the same issue. I logged out of the account linked in Plex settings, and also logged out of the UI. When I logged back in. My server is missing. I can see other friends servers there, but not mine. I don’t even see an option to add another server.

I did as last suggested, changing the DNS on my router to 8.8.4.4, and logged out. Logged in via incognito window, localhost, and the issue persists :frowning: All the data is still there, but its like the UI isn’t seeing the server and won’t let me add anything new.

Any help would be appreciated.

Hi ChuckPa
I’ve tested as listed below and it’s still not showing up.

  1. Sign out by accessing plex in Chrome
  2. Open Chrome in Secret mode and access by IP (ex:192.168.0.xxx:32400/web)
  3. Log in with your email
  4. The media server is still not showing up.

My plex configuration environment is as follows:
os: ubuntu 16
plex: linuxserver/plex docker image

Where else should I check?

I’m having the same problem, after logging out of my account and logging in again my plex server disappeared, even accessing via local network http://172.16.0.110:32400/web

already restarted the server (TruNAS), I even set up a new jail on TrueNAS, but without success.

I only got this debug.

Site debug log:
log_plex.txt (142.5 KB)

Server logs:
Logs.zip (1.1 MB)

Same problem here. Plex Media Server is installed, yet doesn’t see it and keeps saying to install it again.

I’ve tried several times but it still doesn’t work.
I’ll attach the log, please check it.
Plex Media Server.log (363.2 KB)

You’re using Docker.

Your server is in its own network.

You must reclaim the server using the PLEX_CLAIM_TOKEN method again.

To all who can’t see your server (non-docker)

  1. Prerequisite - You and the server are on the same RFC-1918 compliant LAN -OR- you are at the server’s keyboard (your computer)

  2. Upper right corner of Plex/web – SIGN OUT

  3. Open an incognito browser window

  4. Open the server by IP address

app. plex. tv only works AFTER a server is claimed (Attached) to your account.

@ChuckPa
I’m using docker right now.
But the media server could not be loaded, so I tried the following.

  1. Remove plex conatiner, image from docker (docker-compose down command)
  2. Get a new code at plex.tv/claim
  3. Apply new claim code to docker-compose.yml
  4. Run plex with docker-compose up command
→ I tried the version of plex in the past and also the latest version.
  5. Still the same situation

Where else should I check?

I think we should remove the previously authenticated information.
But I don’t know how.
Since I used docker, it doesn’t seem to remain in my local area, is there any other way?

@ChuckPa

WOW i did it!
I was using docker-compose with custom-network configured, so that must have been the problem.
I removed custom-network from the plex item and ran it, and the server setting screen was displayed!
Thanks for the help!!
