I have a plex media server on a Microsoft surface and connected through wifi. I had plex for a few days working fine. Then, my surface began disconnecting from the router. Running the troubleshooter reconnects to the wifi and i recieve one of the two errors “no default gateway” or “problem with network adapter.” Disabling the PMS fixes the problem but doesn’t allow me to watch plex. Please advise how to resolve this issue.
I would suggest a couple things that should resolve your issue. Reserve your server LAN IP in your wifi router.
Create a new lease on the Tablet / Surface with a new IP address. You could reserve that address on Router if you like, can’t hurt.
Reserving the LAN worked. Its been connected all day without any issue. Thanks for the advice.
