Plex Media Server does NOT work with TV tuners on NAS.
I have a Synology DS916+ running DM6.2.
No TV tuner will work on it, which is contrary to what Plex TV Media Server claims.
Your read reference does NOT help address my problem.
Have WinTV-DualHD that does NOT work in a Synology NAS DS916+ with Plex TV Media Server installed
The NAS is running the latest DSM6.2 Synology SW. I have successfully loaded the Plex Media Server SW.
The Synology NAS can see the Hauppauge device in the USB port.
However, Plex Media Server does NOT see your device.
What do I do now?
The chart on the support article that @trumpy81 linked indicates that only the Silicon Dust and the DVBLogic TVButler 100TC tuners are supported on NAS via Plex Media Server.
It looks like the WinTV-DualHD is supported on Windows OS, Linux OS & the Shield only.
