Plex Media Server fails to run (Ubuntu 24.04)

Server Version#: 1.43.1.10611-1e34174b1
After this fail, I completely removed PMS from the system and tried to reinstall w/o any change.

To add - I’m running a PMS successfully since ~2 years. Maybe my issue was to update on a regular basis.

Your machine’s server logs might contain some info on what’s actually causing this (check out Plex Media Server.log in the server data directory → see link)

Thanks for the hint, but we’re not lucky this time :expressionless_face:

I checked some old posts and only found two suspects - either the file system is mounted as noexec (mine is not) or something related to claim the server (don’t think that this will bring down the service).

Don’t think it’s one of those.

Maybe a Crash Report might help.

After another restart with updated kernel it started working again.
