Plex Media Server Goes to Sleep After a Few Days

Thanks. Couple of follow-up questions:

So, actually one question, which is how to edit the libraries so they point only to the new location.
I did delete everything in the /plex folder. All I have now is:

(There is nothing in the movies file so I deleted it after the screen shot.)

That looks good. I do not see anything that would cause problems.

If Plex still stops after a few days, then after the next occurrence, restart Plex, wait ~2 minutes for it to fully start, then pull the log files and upload them to the thread. We’ll take a look and hopefully find out what is happening.

Unable to see collection remotely. Uploaded re-start logs.

Thanks.

Have you enabled UPnP or added a port forward statement to your router?

Plex Media Server is trying to register remote access with plex.tv, but the process fails. Plex.tv cannot reach your server.

UPnP was enabled. I did go into my Google router and added port forward statement to the NAS, using the TCP port range of 32400. When I looked at whether or not Remote Access was enabled, I have this showing:

When I looked up ways to deal with that, the depth was a bit over my head.

Try enabling upnp on the router and unchecking the “manually specify” box.

Then you don’t have to worry about a port forwarding statement in the router.

I’m going to be offline for a few days. Hopefully someone else can step in to assist.
