Plex media server indirect status on same LAN

After the new media server update, the plex server status is indirect while accessing from various devices connected to the same network. No settings have been altered other than the recent media server update which I am convinced is the culprit.

We I try to login in securely from the player I tries to find the server on the LAN and just times out and reverts to indirect connection.

Please advise if the media server updated can be rolled back to confirm it the update is causing the issue.
