I installed Plex (with lifetime pass) on a new DSM 7 installation, no upgrade. But after a few hours Plex stops. I did re-install it and did the database clean up. I set de permissions for the PlexMediaServer to Full Controll.
I uploaded the log files

Ok, thank you, I wil move the files from that directory.
I will stop scanning my homevideo folder instead. Remove it from the library.
Unfortunately Plex still keeps crashing after the last actions. After that I updated Plex to 1.23.5.4841 en disabled all the scanning of libraries.
Attached the new log files from the last time Plex stopped and a screenshot of the library settings.
Hi @mkor @trumpy81 @ChuckPa I’m having the same problem with my new DSM 7 installation: every day or so it seems to crash and I need to manually restart it within the Package Centre.
Plex Media Server Logs DSM 7.zip (839.8 KB) I’ve uploaded a sample of my logs from when Plex crashes but don’t know how to interpret what it says. I’ve been updating my Plex to the latest version (1.23.5.4801) but it keeps happening. Is there anyone out there who can help me troubleshoot? I never had this problem on my DSM 6 installation which I’ve used for the past few years, and haven’t changed any of my media recently.
I am also having this issue. It is not availability, it is showing as stopped in package manager
My Plexserver is now up for almost a week. I stopped scanning my mediafolders but that did not help. In the logs I saw something happening with videofiles from tvseries, only a few. I removed al my libraries and since then it kept running. When I’m back from holiday I will start adding libraries again and will see what caused the stopping of Plex. It is ofcourse a bad thing, with DSM6 I had none of these issues.
Hi all I’ve since updated to 1.23.6.4881 and the server hasn’t crashed for 3 days now, so hopefully the latest update has fixed this issue (whatever it was)!

I’m having this issue with the latest version. Plex server stops after a few minutes of scanning Library Files. I must restart Plex. Using the latest Plex version 4.63.0 and DSM 7. This all started after I upgraded to DSM 7.
DSM 6 here, latest updates etc.
Similar behaviour recently - makes Plex even more unreliable than usual to the point of just playing stuff on Plex for the easy life.
me too, i upgraded to PlexMediaServer-1.24.3.5033-757abe6b4-x86_64_DSM7 on Sept 20 and plex keeps crashing over and over. I as well as other users that have access to my Plex Server can login without issue, see all libraries, etc., etc, but as soon as you play something, it plays for 5 - 10 seconds and then the desktop app crashes. You can log right back in and the process repeats itself. Just downloaded and did a refresh install of the plex desktop app, but i think the issue is with the plex media server version itself. Any help would be appreciated. Edited: The previous version of plex media server 1.24.2 had no issues, this is all with the most recent version.
