Hello, I am unsable to run Plex as it says Manually Stopped as below:

Please manually retrieve the logs and attach them

I need the entire ZIP please to confirm but based on other errors in your logs, I think I know the problem.

Your logs show PMS trying to get to hosts (PMS servers) outside your network specifically to Plex.tv and reporting the network is unreachable.

(Your DSM configuration to your modem/router isnā€™t correct)

Not sure if this is firewall or simple networking but suspect itā€™s a network issue

Making a ZIP of Logs itself will automatically grab all the files in the folder.
This is what I was expecting. Easier for both of us and contains everything I need with one post by you.

Looking at Plex.tv, I see where you deleted the server.

Iā€™d like you to do the following:

  1. uninstall with KEEP option
  2. Install the same SPK again
    ā€“ Use the Lost or New (Plex Claim Token) method
  3. Let PMS start and run for 2-3 minutes then stop it
  4. Make a ZIP of the logs directory again please. Download and attach it here.

While we wait for ChuckPA, you might try launching PMS from a terminal to see what error messages are being displayed if any. On my NAS I use their plex.sh script to do that. Maybe you have something similar?

QNAP operates completely different than Synology.

On DSM 6, we could start PMS by hand.
On DSM 7, we canā€™t because of all the constraints imposed by Synology in their new design.

@asangaxp would you confirm that after reinstalling PMS you tried to start it according to your clock on Oct 10th 7:42am?

I only see only one file dated after Oct 8th which is why I ask.
That file is Startup Crash.log

Hi @nibbles Yes I did that, and what I mean is I clicked on the run button on the screensht below.
When I did that it says working for maybe 2 seconds and then revers back to saying ā€˜Manually Stppedā€™ as per my earlier screenshot

2 seconds isnā€™t ā€œRunningā€.

3 seconds is the refresh timing in Package Center.

either from the command line (preferred) or via a scheduled task which emails you the results:

sudo cat /var/log/synopkg.log

This will definitively show you the package start/stop activity including error messages

It will look like this:

Ok mybe it was more like 3 seconds.
Sorry but I am not following the command line part, is this something i need to do? As you will note I am not very tech savvy

Easy. :sunglasses:

You can use a scheduled task, user-script, running as root to run this for you.

  1. Email yourself the results (not just the errors)

  3. Run one time manually.

  4. When the email arrives, post it here.
