I have PMS running on my Windows 10 Desktop. All of my media folders are on the same network, just on my NAS. I can add media to it no problem, but I have to manually tell PMS to scan my library in order for them to show up in Plex.
I have PMS set up to run partial scans when changes are detected, but as i’ve said it won’t auto run it. I have to manually scan my entire library in order to have any new episode or movie show up.

I have been having a similar issue recently. Additionally when I access the server dashboard from my iPad I always have to reload the page as it seems to freeze.
PMS is running a Windows 10 PC i5 8400 16GB ram. Media is hosted on a Synology DiskStation 916+ and presented to Plex by a share on the PC.
That is all well and good, except that is has been working and working well, it has only stopped working with the last server update. I have just downgraded my server version and the auto library is now working again.
Thank you Tiebierius. I had no clue that if it was using a network share, it wouldn’t auto detect when changes had been made to the folder. Appreciate it.
