System:
Main House Computer running Windows 10
Main House Computer also runs Plex Media Server, SABNZBD, Sonar, etc…
Movie Files sit on Synology NAS
Main House Computer and Synology NAS connected by ethernet to Google Nest (using splitter to obtain more ports)
Main House Computer can see and manipulate files on Synology NAS (network drive mapped, network location added)
However, Plex Media Server cannot reach or “see” into Synology NAS to access the movie files.
It occasionally is able to do so, but is suddenly unable to for some reason.
Movie files (all files) are “unavailable”.
“Please check that the file exists and the necessary drive is mounted.”
folders are referenced using \diskstation…
Permissions should not be an issue since the Main Computer can already manipulate files on Synology NAS using my admin account.
I also tried restarting Plex as Administrator
This problem happened after i switch my linksys router to google nest.
I know this is probably something very basic, but i can’t figure this out.
I have created a mapped network drive on the PC, as well as a network location.
Plex can only see the Synology NAS intermittenly. For example, on startup. After scanned library files are completed, things work. Then after an hour or two, for some strange reason it then cannot see the NAS again. This is without touching anything on the Main Computer or NAS.
When i try running plex normally, i just get a pop-up message that says “Error”.
