Plex Media Server on Synology DS918+ not working with Google TV device

It was always a little flaky (failing to load media without hard-power cycling the google tv, freezing halfway through a movie, etc), but lately I’ve become completely unable to watch anything from my Plex server on my TV (via a Google TV).

Launching the app shows my plex server as unavailable, but it’s perfectly accessible from my computer.

My setup is almost as out-of-the-box as you can get. Plex is installed via the package centre (DSM 6.2.4-25556), and the Google TV is up to date (not sure where to check what exact version number it is…). The only thing weird about my network is a have a Pihole DHCP server set up to block ads (but the Google TV ignores your DHCP settings anyway, they don’t want you blocking youtube ads :confused: ).

I’ve been searching around but I can’t seem to find someone facing this same issue. Can anyone give any pointers on how to go around debugging this? I’m a developer, but I’m not a particularly strong network guy…

Thanks a lot for your help. Is this a common issue with Synology’s package centre software? Seems like I should just run everything through Docker where possible?
