Plex Media Server on Synology Nas not allowing access to Library

Server Version# 1.40..5.8897-7000 on synology DS220J DSM 7.2.1-69057 Update 5

When opening the PMS from Synology nas I don’t have an option, under settings to access the library, change folders or rescan the media.
-Using a direct IP to synology: (http://192.168.1.136:32400/web/index.html#!/settings/web/general)
-Have used incognito as well with the same results
-All permissions updated correctly
-There is a message that I should update my Plex Media server, which I did to the version above.
-Result: No Plex access to media files on the synology

  1. Ignore the update message for now

  2. it sounds like your server got signed out (permission denied is common message)

  3. Stop Plex

  4. Using FileStation
    – Navigate to PlexMediaServer / AppData / Plex Media Server
    – Right-click ‘Logs’ → ‘Compress to Logs.zip’
    – Download that ZIP file

  5. Upload / attach that zip file with your next reply.

  6. I’ll look and see what’s going on.
