Whenever I try and open the Plex Media Server, it opens a new browser page, navigates through a few half loaded intermediary pages, and then settles on a page with nothing but the plex logo in the middle. No matter how long I leave it, it does not load into any set up.
This is the first time I am using Plex Media server, and I have both restarted my computer, and reinstalled Plex Media Server
what URL is it on when on the page with just the logo.
It gives me “https://app.plex.tv/auth/#!?” followed by a massive list of URL parameters, like ClientID, Platform, version, etc. I’m unsure if any of it is identifying, so I didn’t post the whole thing
I had this happen (Or something similar) to me a few times. For me, I had a adlocker (Ublock Origin & Kaspersky Protection) enabled & these blocked the login popup prompt & would just show a Plex logo for ever. Disabled them & the prompt to log in would pop up after the Plex logo. After you have logged in, You can re-enable them.
Not sure if this the same issue your having, Just wanted to let you know how I solved a similar problem I had.
the https://app.plex.tv/auth/#!? URL would be the sign in page
make sure you don’t have any adblockers or such running. Most also usually have a white lists you can enter plex.tv or a drop down or something to turn it off the current site.
