Hi Guys,

So every now and again, my PLEX Media Server on my Win11 computer will just freeze up. On most occasions, it will look like its still running but its not reachable anywhere, even locally on the PC.

I just can’t determine what is causing the issue, as its totally random and last night (evening time), it happened for the first time in about 3 weeks - leaving a recording short until i closed and re-opened the application.

I was hoping for someone who could pinpoint what may be causing it, as I had another PLEX Server on a similar machine at a family home and they were having the exact same issue but more frequently. If I need to submit more info for assistance to feel free to let me know.

You have the deadlock issue. Take a look at this post in this thread and PM your diagnostics and logs to @sa2000:

Ahh ok, this makes it feel a little better that it’s a more wider issue. Thanks for the reference

Please Media Server 1.28.2 has just been released as a beta release

It has a fix for a deadlocks issue that was identified last week

  • Server could hang in certain circumstances (#13758)
