The problem started after I booted up my server following a power outage. The server is connected to an uninterrupted power supply, which performs a controlled shut down in an event of outage.
Anyways, I boot it up and noticed that plex media server is not running. So I manually start the process - and it shuts down immediately. Icon in the task bar appears for a second and disappears. I reboot the system again, hoping to sort it, but the issue persists. The server is just refusing to start.
Logs are also not really helpful to point out what issue i am running into.
Any insights would be helpful!

Then I suppose the UPS unit didn’t shut down the computer in an orderly fashion. This usually happens if the battery in it ages and the grace period between “power gone” and “automatic shutdown” has been set too long.

Because the problems you describe are usually connected with a damaged database. Which in turn usually gets damaged when there is no clean shutdown but a sudden loss of power.

If you have moved the Plex data folder to an external hard drive, verify that this drive still has the same drive letter assigned that it had before the incident.

Do also verify the free storage space on the hard drive where the Plex data folder resides. There must be plenty of it, or Plex will soon suffer a damaged database again.
