Well, I deleted everything and reinstalled. Seems to be working now. I will not reschedule a sports recording for a specific team for a while until the bug is resolved. Thanks for the help.
if anyone can message me a copy of their current database if you still have sports scheduled ( or one of the backups that were made before removing it.) and a copy of their tv.plex.providers.epg.cloud files before deleting them it would be appreciated
By database what do you mean? I backed up the PlexData folder.
the com.plexapp.plugins.library.db file. if you already removed the sports scheduled recording then one of your backups. Info on where the db and backups can be found is here. Restore a Database Backed Up via 'Scheduled Tasks' | Plex Support
It is where the recording schedule is saved. The one without the date is the current one in use.

Plex Media Server 1.23.3.4706 is now available to Plex Pass users in the Beta update channel.
FIXES:
