PLEX Media Server stopped working after password change

Hey, this might be a challenge for the community to solve as I’ve not seen anyone post an issue quite like this before.

I wanted to ask, for those using a Sheild TV Pro (2019), have any of you ever had the PMS get completely knocked off after changing your login password? and if so, what did you do about it?

It started because, I had a new login email from PLEX telling me someone in the states logged into my PLEX account last night. Luckily, I was still awake and shut them down with a password change and a forced logout of all devices within 1min of them logging in. Still, this brought it’s own issues as my PMS - located on my Sheild TV Pro (2019) - dropped offline and went into a stopped state.

  • Rebooting the Sheild failed.
  • Checked for updates on both PP & PMS and installed one for PMS - no change
  • un/re-installing PLEX player - server dissappeared from settings

Right now, my next step is to un/reinstall the PMS in the hopes it will come back up. If this solves it, I’ll update and close however, any other suggestions in case it doesn’t, would be greatly appreciated.
