Can someone please help me (in leymans terms). I have my Plex server running on NVidia shield pro and it keeps stopping and the only way I can restart it is to delete the Plex app and reinstall. I have the latest version of Plex running.
Thanks
I don’t have this problem with my Shield pro 2019 but one thing is certain, this device does not have enough internal memory to make the PMS work properly. I was having transcoding issues and my Shield is complaining that it has a full memory.
To solve the problem, I installed a 128 GiB USB stick on the Shield. I formatted it as “internal memory”. He then offered to move all my apps to this new internal memory. With this large memory, I no longer had a problem with my Plex server.
I don’t know if this can solve your problem, but I think you should try.
I think there must be some corrupted files remaining despite uninstalling the apps.
I will try to uninstall both PLEX MEDIA SERVER and PLEX PLAYER applications from Shield.
Then I will connect via the network interface (Windows for me) to the Shield and I will delete all the folders with their files created by Plex.
Once it’s clean, you reinstall both apps.
In my Shield, it is located here:
\ 192.168.x.xxx \ internal \ Plex Media Server
\ 192.168.x.xxx \ internal \ Android \ data \ com.plexapp.mediaserver.smb
