Plex Media Server stops internet connection

Hi

I’m running the latest version of media server. I actually just reformatted and reinstalled windows so the file I downloaded is whatever is currently posted on the plex site.

Here’s the issue. Within the past few days my internet has been dropping on my wired PC. I didn’t suspect plex until I uninstalled it and my internet returned. It seems like once I start my plex media server the ability to get on the internet stops as does my ability to access the plex server.

I do have verizon as my ISP. My speed is 100/100 and I’ve reset my fios-g1100 router to factory defaults. Is anyone else having this issue?

Yes, I’m having the exact same problem. I’ve been going nuts the last few days trying to figure out why my internet kept cutting out. I finally deduced that Plex was the issue and as an experiment, uninstalled the Plex software. Everything’s fine now. I also have Verizon as my ISP. I’m at my wit’s end at this point and don’t know what to do.
