This is a bit difficult to explain but a few months ago, my internet started sporadically going in and out on my Macbook Pro. My wifi still showed connected but no webpages would load and every other device worked fine on my network. It started happening more and more frequently until the point that it was happening every few minutes.
I had a tech come out and replace the router, I contacted Apple support, but nothing fixed the issue.
I then reformatted my computer the other day and everything was working perfectly. As I started to install my programs back one by one, I found the culprit. It’s the PLEX media server!
For whatever reason when I have my media server open, it causes this issue and as soon as I close the media server, the issue no longer exists.
I’ve had this computer for 4-years with Plex installed without issue until a few months ago.
I have the latest OS system and the latest PLEX update but nothing has resolved the issue.
Can anybody please help?!
