Plex Media Server thinks there's a Public Channel update available, but it's the same version

Player Version#:IP/web login

I downloaded & installed the latest Server version for Synology DSM7 Intel 64-bit.
It’s running and recognized as that version (1.28.0.5973).
I have Upgrade Channel set to “Public”
System check shows there’s an available update, but at Plex.tv website it’s the same version I’m already running.
Any thoughts on why this would occur?

The version you’re mentioning is certainly not a public release but the latest beta released earlier today.

The latest public release is version 1.27.2.5929.

Thanks. Not sure how I downloaded a beta when it’s only supposed to notify of Public Channel updates.
