If I hear anything related to translations not being used in PMS, I will let you know.

Translations is a basic exercise in good developement :wink:

This should be addressed now in the latest beta (v1.16.0.1226). Please let me know if you still have any issues.

thanks!
it works. Only when i left click on the plex server tray ist the menu in english

tray

it doesn’t solve the issue for me…server version 1.16.0.1220 on synology nas. client web is still mixed 90% italian and 10% remains in english.
for example: drop down sorting menu of any library and setting-network page.
but these are just examples, for helping you in solving…

Synology (Version PlexMediaServer-1.16.0.1226-7eb2c8f6f-x86_64.spk) run in german

Many many THX 4 fixing the Bug :beetle:

For me, it doesn’t show up on 1.16.0.1226. The cause of it might be that Polish language is missing from root and locale directories. Is that the case?

PMS root dir:

PMS locale dir:

I presume there should be something like pl or pl_PL.

Is this a problem with installer not including the mentioned language?

Fixed everything on latest 1.16.0.1226 realease. All Pages traslated. PMS on synology Nas.
Thanks!!!

@drzoidberg33
It seems that it was fixed for every language but mine. As it is visible on screenshots above, Polish locale is not being installed with the rest of files. I double checked it on a different machine with the same result. I’d be grateful for further assistance. Thank you in advance.

Doesn’t seem to work with Hungarian language.

Server is on Windows 10 hungarian. Plex server version is 1.16.0.1226.
Every setting is on hungarian in server and in player.

If I replace the “en” folder in the “C:\Program Files (x86)\Plex\Plex Media Server\Resources\locale” path with the “hu_HU” folder it seems to solve the problem.
Only problem then that the Plex for Kodi can’t play anything with some ascii character decoding error.

Summing up - there’s still problem with locale files. For some languages, these are present in the program directory but inactive, for others (e.g. Polish), not even created during installation process.

@trumpy81
I’m using your Bat-Signal again. Could you please ask the devs about it? It really has a big impact on user experience. Thank you in advance.

I’ve included a fix for Hungarian translations in the latest beta release, if you’re running the beta channel then please give it a spin and let me know if it resolves the problem for you.

Thanks!

The Polish translations were missing from our files, this should be resolved in the latest beta version of the server. The beta version should go to the public release next week sometime if nothing blocks it.

@MikeT88 The system tray uses a different translation layer than the rest of the server, there is an issue file internally to get this integrated with the rest of the translations but for right now only a few languages are supported in the system tray on Windows.

Thank you so much for fixing it. Everything looks beautiful now. I’m going back to translating whatever is left there. Cheers! :hugs:

Hello,
running on beta version 1.16.3.1433-359b06978 with Czech translation and possibly same problem as with Polish and Hungarian translation.

New Translate Bugs are incoming with the new version… Win Server Version 1.18.0.1913

I can’t confirm that. Refresh the web app in the browser after switching language.
Use the hosted web app preferably. There is no reason to prefer the local one.
