i received the message below

after it downloads, i open it and a screen appears asking “how do i want to open this file”
what do i do?
Looks like you have installed the Plex Media Server on your NAS. In that case you need to apply the update on the NAS – the file is useless on your notebook/desktop.
How to upgrade depends on what NAS you use.
Most NAS allow automatic updates – it sometimes takes a few days for the latest Plex updates to show up in their app centers or repositories. If you deactivated auto-updates or don’t want to wait for the update, most NAS have a manual update function. This usually requires the user to upload the app-package with the updates – that’s where you will need to upload the file you just downloaded to your client. 
If you need some more help, please include some information of the NAS (e.g. Synology, QNAP, WD MyCloud… – in most cases the brand will do)
there are currently no updates, but i’m still getting a update message on Plex
should i remove plex from my NAS?
What NAS do you have? I had an update last week (I think) on my QNAP. You have to manually install the file you download through the APPSTORE though.
