Thanks for steps, installed without problems.
One thing though, being short on HDD’s, when I was setting up my PR4100 I had to copy files from an external drive to PR4100 and then add another HDD to PR4100, copy more files, add another HDD, etc.
I did this 4 times to fill the slots in NAS, but, each time I added another drive, Plex app was still on machine, but I couldn’t access anymore from my web browser to configure… it said page was unavailable.
Each time I would have to reinstall Plex on NAS and then could access configuration… BUT, my libraries were gone and I had to setup libraries again,… ugh!
Any ideas? I’m wary that if I update Plex to a newer version, it may lose my databases and I will have to set the libraries up again each update? Or?
I tried manually installing Plex on my EX2100 that I downloaded off the website but it fails. From the apps section on my Nas I was able to install an older version. Now plex says that there is an update but I cannnot install it. The update just fails to install. It will say updating then error “Failed to install app”. I am following the above steps so I am not sure what the issue is.
I am having issues upgrading since 1.16.2.1297, I tried stopping, and not stopping the server on my PR4100, next step is to uninstall first… I am only afraid I will need to reconfigure it all!
