The latest beta server update, removed my music videos from PLEX except videos associated with a specific track, so music videos with an exact name match still show but all the behind the scenes and lyric videos etc are gone. They were working fine and were named according to the naming convention documents on plex support sites, but have disappeared since the last server update. The files are still in the same location and I have performed multiple tests. Also with the previous server version a media library scan would not add these videos to plex only an artist metadata refresh would show up these new file additions.

Experiencing the same thing with Windows PMS version 1.15.4.919 (see this post).

Prior to that version I couldn’t get thumbnails to generate for newly added music videos. Since all my music videos have now disappeared from the music libraries I no longer have to worry about the thumbnails though…convenient.

Thanks for the report. An issue where these videos are getting hidden unfortunately crept in and wasn’t discovered in time before release. All the items are still in the database but they’re just not getting displayed. This will be fixed in an upcoming release.

I fixed the issue where the video thumbnails wouldn’t show properly while I was at it. :slight_smile:

That’s exciting. I was in the middle of adding gigabytes of music videos so I’ve been trying to perfect the file naming and associating some videos with music tracks so I was paying attention.

Thanks so much and can’t wait for the next update so I can have my k-pop obsession in the car again.

I recently updated to the newest server version 1.15.4.993 and the music videos and thumbnails did not reappear, was your fixes not in the latest release? Just in case its a unique issue to me I thought you should know.

It’s not… My music videos are still MIA in the Music Libraries.

This fix is in version 1.15.5 - which will be in beta soon.

Yep. Put the latest update in (1.15.4.994). With previous update I could see music video on my devices, but not on the administrator version on the internet browser. Latest update, when you refresh metadata to add another video, all other videos for that artist disappears now from all devices
Just now, I’ve noticed, Plex isnt picking up new albums, when you do a music scan too, with this current version. All other content is there but says it’s unavailable
I’m on a windows 7 computer, with the server being a DS918+
