Plex media server version 1.25.5.5492 not being validated as latest version after manual install on NAS

Server Version#: Version 1.25.5.5492
Player Version#: Synology DS415play
Plex web server page keeps giving notification: “An update is available. Please install manually” the latest version (version 1.25.5.5492) for my NAS server (Synology DS415play) is already installed. This is also stopping me from Claiming the server, as clicking the “Claim Server” button is not doing anything, so will not allow me to claim my server.

I have tried to restart the NAS, re-download the update, uninstall the Plex from my NAS and re-install the updates, but this has not worked. Please could you help?

I have attached Plex media server logs for review.

Plex Media Server is having trouble communicating with plex.tv.

Disable any VPN software running on the NAS.

Verify the Synology has a solid internet connection and is configured correctly, including:

  • IP address mask (255.255.255.0).
  • Default Gateway
  • DNS servers (try public servers such as 8.8.8.8 or 1.1.1.1).

Thank you, putting the the public DNS servers fixed the issue.
