Unable to launch Plex after manual update

Server Version#:1.14.1.5488-cc260c476

I have a Synology DS918+ running DSM 6.2.1-23824 Update 4. I had Plex installed from the Package Center (version 1.13.4.5271-200287a06), and I was able to access the server (192.168.1.250:32400/web) through Chrome and AppleTV. The Plex server said there was a newer version and had to be manually installed, so I downloaded the .spk file (version 1.14.1.5488-cc260c476) and I did a manual install on the NAS.

Since then, I have been unable to access the Plex server on Chrome, Safari or AppleTV (Can’t connect to the server "192.168.1.250”), although Package Center said Plex was running. I uninstalled Plex from the NAS, and re-installed it from Package Center (version 1.13.4.5271-200287a06). I’m still unable to access the server from Chrome, Safari or AppleTV. I’ve tried rebooting the NAS, uninstalling Plex and reinstalling both from Package Center and the manual install, but I can’t access the Plex server regardless of what I do. Can anyone help?

Thank you for the info! I’m getting stuck on the claimit.sh portion. Here is my Terminal response:

plex.tv Username: cirtbrethren

plex.tv Password:
plex.tv Password Repeated:
IP Address of PMS server: 192.168.1.250
Comparing entered passwords
Comparing entered passwords ok
Getting PMS Server Identifier
******** ERROR ********
We failed to get the Plex Media Server ID
Please check server is up and running, as well as the IP address entered

The Plex server is running, and I’ve tried using 192.168.1.250:32400, but I get the above response.

Ok, I uninstalled Plex and the Plex user, but when I SSH into it, /volume1/@appstore/Plex Media Server.A6niWa is still there. /volume1/Plex is also still there; /var/Packages/Plex Media Server is the only one that is gone. I tried to delete them from Terminal, but I don’t have permission.

IT WORKED!!! Thank you so much!!
