Like many others here, I changed my password and now my media server is missing. My Plex Media Server on my windows computer won’t open at all. I tried uninstalling it and deleting the directory. I am totally fine with setting up a new server, but nothing is launching. I tried to fix it using some of the support articles without any success. I am not computer savvy enough to figure out what’s going on.
Can someone on here walk me through it step by step?
On your Plex server, find the Plex icon in the notification area (aka, system tray; you may need to click the ^ icon to see it). Right click the Plex icon and then select “Open Plex.” This should open the default browser to log in. If your server is unclaimed, this should automatically claim it.
Thank you so much for your help! It looks like I accidentally deleted my server, but I set it up again and everything seems to be working correctly now.
