A few years ago I set up Plex Media Server on my PC. I selected my, picture, video and music libraries so that I could stream to my TVs. All worked well and in fact still does.
The problem is that I cannot open the Media Server interface on my PC to add or modify these libraries. The media server starts when the PC starts up and the icon appears among the hidden icons. If I hover my mouse pointer over it is shows Plex Media Sever. However when I select Open it “appears” to start the player withing my browser, if I select “+ Your Media” it suggests I download Plex Media Server.
Am I doing something stupid? Help please. Peter
Could it be the server is associated to a different Plex account?
Thanks for the suggestion but that wasn’t it. I found an earlier post suggesting some changes in the registry and it worked. I had a bit of a job however getting the TV app to see the server. A reset did the trick in the end. Very quick once I realised but took me much messing around before I found it!
That’s the same problem I’m getting.
