Plex media server runs but app wount open

Please help. Ive been using Plex for years, but since few month back when the new update and design change rolled around somethi9ng glitched out and media server app wount open.

I have a lifetime pass and I cant use the product. Ive tried everything I know.

Ive reinstalled the app and the media server numerous times. It shows running in icon tray. I click on it and it forwards me to the website to sign in. I sign in but the Media server itself never opens. I click on YOUR media in the app or in browser and it says - instal media server. Well - its installed. It shows running in icon tray. I click on it again and it just opens a new browser window to sign in again. And then i click your media. and the process repeats. it is asking me to download media server which is downloaded and running. But I CANT access it to set it up to point to my video library.

I am at a complete loss.

Did you at some point change your password and sign out of all devices?

It sounds like your server somehow got into an unclaimed state

What operating system is your server installed on? Windows, Linux (NAS), Mac?

In an incognito window, try http://:[server ip address]:32400/web in a browser substituting [server ip address] with the ip address of the machine your server resides
example - http://192.168.1.5:32400/web

See if you can sign in that way and claim the server
