I moved my plex server from my old pc to my new pc. I copied over the folder based on info from the plex forum. I claimed the server on my new pc. The drives holding my media are internal sata drives. However, when I try to use plex on either of my 2 appletvs or my iphone, or anywhere other than the pc where my server resides I see the media on the home screen and playlists, but when you click on them they show in red “unavailable”. I then have to logout of plex on that device, log back in. then log into one of my managed users accounts and back into my admin account for the media to work. The server is claimed. my media links are accurate on my server. What’s going on?
Have you tried rebooting both the Plex Media Server (restart the app and/or reboot the Windows machine)? You could also try to sign-out and back in to the Plex app on your Apple TV / iOS devices.
If you actually copied the entire server data, there can be the occasional hiccups with some identifiers where Plex still expects the old server/libraries in place of the new ones.
