Plex media web player can no longer access my libraries in Chrome

Server Version#:1.20.4.3517-ab5e1197c-MyCloudPR4100
Player Version#:Current web player

I am running the Plex Media Server version installed from PlexMediaServer-1.20.4.3517-ab5e1197c-MyCloudPR4100.bin on a Western Digital PR4100 NAS box.

Everything has been working fine recently, until today, when Chrome suddenly stopped being able to access my libraries in the web player. I’m using Google Chrome Version 86.0.4240.198 (Official Build) (64-bit) on Windows 10, and I tried from two different Windows 10 computers with the same results.

Plex lets me log in, and it accepts my username and password. Then it goes to load my home screen. At first, everything looks fine:

But when the “please wait” circle stops spinning, all of my libraries show as unavailable:

In both the Firefox and Microsoft Edge browsers, my Plex home screen comes up just fine with all libraries accessible as-expected.

Is there a recently introduced incompatibility with Chrome?

Just tested this on the Chrome 86.0 I have installed on my Mac.
Server loads fine – same as in other browsers.

Do you have any add-ons or “security components” installed in your Chrome that might interfere with how Plex operates?

No. In fact I uninstalled chrome completely on one computer and reinstalled it from scratch. But that did not solve the problem.

I updated the server with PlexMediaServer-1.20.5.3600-47c0d9038-MyCloudPR4100.bin today and now my libraries display fine in Chrome again.
