No access to libraries from Chrome browser

I suspect OP is having the same issue that I came here for. I’m using Chrome on my Mac book, and I cannot seem to access my libraries. I assumed it was something to do with my rebuild of my library on the weekend, but now I guess not.

The question the OP asked has nothing to do with libraries on his server. It is about the on demand streaming movies/tv we provide not being available in the app he uses.

I’m not sure. OP said he went to the movies and TV section, found nothing was loading and came here. OP specifically said not the streaming bit.

I came to the forums because I couldn’t get my movies or TV libraries to load in the web app using Chrome on a mac. They sound pretty similar to me. You seem to be making an assumption from a garbled message (like I am) and dismissing anything else out of hand here. It could be what you’re suggesting, but it also sounds EXACTLY the same issue that I’m having so I went to that one.

Would you mind sharing some more background information on…

  • your respective setup (e.g. what version of macOS, what version of the Plex Media Server, is the Plex Media Server Running on the same machine / network — if not, what platform is the Plex Media Server running on?)
  • what you’re trying to achieve (as you wrote… it sounds as simple as trying to access your existing Plex Media Server’s libraries via Plex Web in your Chrome browser)
    • are you trying to do so using the hosted version of Plex Web (app.plex.tv/desktop) or the version installed on your Plex Media Server (e.g. 127.0.0.1:32400/web or localhost:32400/web if the server is on the same Mac or [PMS IP address]:32400/web otherwise)?
    • are we talking about libraries hosted by yourself or shared ones from a friend?
  • at what point are things going wrong and do you get a specific error message?

BigWheel‘s main point was: please don’t hijack other threads… even if symptoms sound alike there can be totally different situations and there’s a tendency to drown the OP‘s questions otherwise (not saying that’s what you intended)… however in the end we all agreed that this was more about an interpretation that those symptoms might match if the OP used a poor description :wink:
