So i’m had issues with the Plex Media Server crashing.
I’m running it on a Windows 10 computer, and today i temporary shutdown Plex Media Server.
When starting up it seemed to be working, i found out that the server is crashing, when casting to my Chromecast.
I dident do any updates or changes to the Plex Media Server, or the Windows machine that it is running on.
The machine hadent been rebooted for 40 days, so i started with rebooting.
So far, was able to stream to my Android phone, but as soon as i start casting to my Chromecast the server crashes.
Nothing in the Windows Event Log.
Plex uploads errorlogs.
Also it writes in the “Plex Tuner Service.log” that “drv_file.ini does not exist”
I dont have a tuner, but this is new in the logs.
I found out, that it was the transcode service, that crashed.
So disabled “Hardware transcoding”, and it worked again.
