Plex memory usage suddenly skyrocketing once a day causing system to go unresponsive

Server Version#: 1.25.2.5319
Player Version#: N/A

I’ve noticed in the last few days, for some reason Plex has been suddenly jumping up to 90% memory usage, causing the system to start swapping which in turns spikes the cpu usage, causing the system to bog down and go unresponsive.

OS: Ubuntu 18.04.6 LTS
CPU: Intel(R) Core™ i5-6600K CPU
Memory: 16GB

Plex Media Server.crash.log (259.5 KB)

Attached log from today, the only thing I’m seeing in it though is a lot of slow query messages and busy database messages.

I’ve already ran an integrity check on the database(It came back OK), and did an optimize on the database, neither seemed to have helped.

The only change I made recently was changing my account settings to “Always Show” for subtitles, but I reverted that change in case somehow that was causing the issue. Its still doing this same thing after reverting the change.

I also believe that Plex had upgraded at the same time this started, so I’m wondering if its a bug with this current version somewhere.

It also seems to always happen around the same time every day, but as far as I can tell, there aren’t any scheduled tasks at that time.
