On access to media server through 2 out of 3 Roku’s and web server the menu bar is displayed correctly on the left side from top to bottom. The menu bar on my 3rd Roku has changed and is being displayed across the top. I have rebooted the Plex Media Server and the affected Roku but nothing changes. Where or what can I do reset back to the way it was? Thx!
That is the new version of the Plex Roku client. The mobile apps already have the new layout. Other Plex clients (Smart TV, Android TV, etc.) will eventually be updated as well.
My Roku’s have just updated to this latest version this morning. I appear to have lost the ability to browse Live TV up to 7 days ahead. Plus there is nothing on the Home Screen. Is it possible to change back to the old view / layout. If it ain’t broke, why try and fix it?
I agree with the home screen being blank. My kids’ profile would have recently played shows so if they watch episode 2 of their show, episode 3 would be there for them to click. Navigating this new interface is not only extra challenging, especially to children, but utterly non-intuitive.
In time, this navigation may be enjoyed but right now it seems incomplete. We need to be able to add shows or movies to “home” in an easy and intuitive way. It shouldn’t take 6+ clicks of the remote to get to a screen with content… Opening PLEX to find a page that says “no media in this library” is a bit silly…
I’m not sure who told you any of this was a good idea. Were you inspired by that episode of the Simpsons where a car company lets Homer decide how to build the best car ever? It’s unusable
Bad assumptions lead to wrong conclusions.
