[Plex Movie Agent/Scanner] Movies missing TMBD IDs / Dupe Matches and IMDB IDs

I am using the new Plex Movie Scanner, and Agent. I have refreshed my entire library.

After this, I’ve noticed some issues under the guid metadata.

The Courier (The Courier (2020) — The Movie Database (TMDB)) missing a TMDB ID. Fix Match showed two results:

After refreshing using the result with the cleaner poster, the GUID data seems accurate/good:

imdb://tt8368512
tmdb://522241
tvdb://65088

Suggestion: Remove the result/record that has the poster with more text on it? (the one missing a TMDB id).

Good Boys (Good Boys (2019) — The Movie Database (TMDB)) missing a TMDB ID. Fix Match showed two results:

imdb://tt7343762 - this just redirects to the first
tmdb://521777
tvdb://22441

Test redirect by IMDB here: Good Boys (2019) - IMDb

Suggestion: Remove the result/record with the poster with more text on it (the one missing TMDB id). Fix the other result by removing the imdb record of tt7343762.

Tesla (Tesla (2020) — The Movie Database (TMDB)) showing multiple IMDB IDs. Fix match shows two results:

Fix match using result where the poster has no text at the top:

imdb://tt5259822
imdb://tt2772304 - this is completely wrong
tmdb://517412

Test wrong result: Tesla - IMDb

Fix match using the other result doesn’t have a TMDB:

imdb://tt5259822
tvdb://138499

Suggestion: From the cleaner poster result, remove the IMDB record for tt2772304. Remove the other result?.

Mine is matched to the bottom result (with more description info / cleaner poster):

Suggestion: From the cleaner poster result, remove the IMDB record for tt9358204. Remove the other result?.

Soul (Soul (2020) — The Movie Database (TMDB)) also has issues with two results:

This has dupe IMDB ids:

As an aside, I happened to notice that when switching between the results for Soul in fix match, the ratings icons changed too, from imdb to rotten tomatoes. May have happened with the others (and be expected by you @ Plex) but only noticed it this time. Not sure why that’s the case.

@OttoKerner Sorry to tag you directly, but you seem to be a metadata master here. Any thoughts on the above inconsistencies in data being returned by the Plex Movie Agent? I’d done my best to describe the problem as clearly as possible with evidence. Thanks

Thanks for the reply. From what I can see, the guid property on an item scanned using the new agent has primarily, a Plex GUID, and then IDs for IMDB, TMDB and sometimes, TVDB.

For “The Courier” when I’ve matched against the result with the ‘clean’ poster, this the data in the guid property:

If I perform a ‘fix match’ selecting the result where the poster has additional text (basically the second result in the screenshot earlier), the guid property contains:

tvdb://136705   

As you can see, there’s no TMDB id.
