Plex Music (After paid sub)

I recently had to cancel my sub to Plex due to financial reasons. However something that I noticed is that after I cancelled my subscription. Plex Music will no longer let me listen to music at all. It gives me an error that listening to music requires a plex pass in order to work. I can no longer update the music library, etc.

Is this normal behavior or am I missing something? I do plan to resub eventually when my finances stabilize it just saddens me to lose my music library in the car.

It is correct that you can no longer update the library. Other premium features like Sync will also no longer work. If that’s how you’re playing music in the car, that might be the issue.

Can you play music at home via Plex Web?

At home it allows 1 min of playing and that’s it.

Via the Plex Web app? I’ve heard of that in the mobile apps.

This tells me that you are not using Plex Web, but one of the ‘mobile Apps’.
(Android, iOS or ‘Windows App store’)

Those apps are (apart from included in Plex Pass) also available for a one-off payment in their respective App stores.

That is correct I use the mobile app, which I did pay for. I’ll uninstall it and reinstall it!

I am doing a complete uninstall and reinstall of the server/library and the applications. Maybe reverting everything to a basic library will fix it.

If you bought the app before, keep in mind that this purchase is bound to the app store account you used back then.
If you bought it for Android in the Google Playstore, you don’t get the app for an Android device which is connected to the Amazon App store. Not to mention the iTunes or the Windows Appstores.

This is not necessary.
The 1 minute limit in the app has nothing to do with the server.

On your server you can create a normal music library, additionally to your existing premium music library.

So the problem was in fact resolved with a couple steps. I rebuilt the library. In doing so it gave me the option of using a standard library for my music not a plus library (there may of been an easier way to do this)

Also the app I was using was downloaded from Google Play while the paid version was through amazon. This fixed the problem with the 1 min play time.

I want to say thank you to all of you who helped me! You’re all amazing.
