Been putting off using Plexamp on Android, because nobody seems to have solved the seemingly simple job of importing your iTunes ratings… finally I said ■■■■ it, I’ll have to start from scratch… I needn’t have bothered since Plex music sucks completely on Android.
If one downloads a playlist… say “my 5 star rated songs”… and then one goes offline, you can’t sort your tracks by album or artist, one can’t search, you’re left with an unsearchable, unsortable playlist, that’s all. What, are we living in the 80s, ,when you made a play cassette and had to play it like that in order? This is ridiculous. The Plex app is no better, and for whatever weird reason, it wants to download a separate copy to use offline.
Why, oh why, oh why couldn’t Plex download your stuff to the music folder where you could use any music play you want? Clearly the developers have no clue about making an offline music player, it’s online or [almost} nothing useful. And let’s get real… if it don’t work offline, why should I invest time putting in ratings and effort to Plex to use online? If Plex can’t solve the simple job of syncing your music for offline use, then it’s a complete waste of time in general for music.
