Plex Music - Language Filter

I’ve been a long time Plex Lifetime user, over a decade now.

But only recently I started setting up a music library.
I’ve got a number of remarks and questions there, in a lot of ways the experience could be improved.

For another system I filled up the “Language” tag MP3 files can have. However, I’ve found no way of using this in Plex. The filter options in music are quite extensive, but to me it seems Language is missing (as are a number of other fields, but I’ll focus on this now).

My question is two fold:

  1. I probably can’t add any tags to that list myself?
  2. What are the chances of Plex actually develloping on this? From all the topics I’ve read over the years, very few, if any, requests were acted upon or even bothered to give a response to, no matter how easy the win?

That last on is pretty important to me right now. I’ve been very happy with Plex wrt movies and series, but the Music side is lacking in some ways that I really don’t like. Are they actively developing still and are they open to suggestions, or are their priorities somewhere else?

  1. Nope.
  2. Very low in my personal estimation. It’s rarely asked for. (It may be more important for audio books than for music. But Plex doesn’t have dedicated support for audiobooks.)
