Plex Music, and specifically metadata is driving me crazy at the moment.
Firstly, at some point, a large random selection of my files have lost their titles. I have no idea when this happened - whether it was the change to the new Plex Music agent or later. I can refresh, which does reinstate the titles, but…
Secondly, refreshing the metadata on an artist currently removes the nice bio that did exist and replaces it with… nothing.
And thirdly, wtf does this mean, in my logs every when each and every track starts:
Given the fact that none of my recent bug reports have elicited a response from a Plex employee, I’m not holding out much hope with this post but I’m close to tearing my hair out and chucking all this in, so… anyone?
Yes - on affected tracks the Title field, once populated, is now empty. I can see no pattern to which tracks are affected either - predominantly they are in my catch-all “Singles” albums though there are incidences throughout my collection, including one or more tracks in otherwise fine albums. And, to reiterate, all of these titles were once fine. (Also worth noting, I’ve had issues with titles previously and while there may be some correlation, there’s still no explanation for why things have recently changed for the worse.)
Yes, that could be. I will add my experiences there relating to my second bullet point. Hopefully someone else can come along as explain the first and the third.
