I am having some major dramas trying to delete music playlists on my NAS, for some reason after deleting a playlist it has now duplicated into individual playlists leaving me with 21,000 playlists It wont allow me to delete them. that aside I was thinking i would simply delete my music library and rescan. If i delete the library will that delete the playlists ??

This doesn’t sound good. You better check for database corruption ASAP.
- activate debug logging (not ‘verbose’!)
- quit Plex Server
- wait 1 minute
- start Plex Server
- wait 5 minutes
- fetch log files and attach them here
Or inspect them yourself. Take a look at the Plex Media Server.log file and seek for messages about database corrupt or malformed.
If you find these, you may have to repair your database.
