Plex Naming files differently to what the actual file is called

Hi Everyone,

I’ve having a huge problem with the server naming films in their raw downloaded format than their actual filenames.

I have filebot rename them to the {plex} standard, but for some reason when they get placed into the library they get reverted back to what they were downloaded as.

Can anyone explain why this is doing it? Its not happening on every file and all my library is name, correctly (according to Filebot / Plex)

in almost every instance that occurs, you’ll find metadata embedded in the file itself asserting that title/name. PMS will read title info from MP4 files.

Move the media away from where it’s monitored
Scan files
Empty trash
Clean bundles
Clear/clean the info out of the file
Move it back and let PMS find it as new with out a biased name
