Plex News used to be great. It gave a comprehensive world report. Now it a commercial after every little news blurb. If you skip a blurb, you guessed it, another commercial. Worse yet, it’s often the same commercial that was just played. It’s now unwatchable. I’d rather just watch regular news. Less commercials. And I pay for Plex. Who’d have thought?
Are you using a Roku?
Please try other Plex client types and see if they exhibit the same issue.
No. I am using a Fire TV Stick 4K. I checked on my iMac and it doesn’t have the issue. I’ll take a look at my FTV2 and/or my FTV3 to see if the issue is isolated to the FTV Stick 4K.
Heaven help me. 30 sec news story then 15 sec commercial and most of them the same. I’ll never buy a cooper tire or a subway sub. Tell how to fix it or you guys do something but it’s no longer watchable. Just upgraded to lifetime, at least my life will much longer while watching using roku
Checked it with my Macbook. It works fine on my Mac with Version 3.83.1 Player.
The issue has been reported and the cause has been identified.
A fix has been produced and now it needs again an app review from Roku.
