Hey everyone, for some reason over the last few weeks Plex has stopped automatically deleting TV show episodes after I’ve deleted the original file from my hard drive. It used to always delete them automatically but randomly it’s stopped. It still deletes movies and music if I’ve deleted them, it’s just TV shows it’s stopped doing it for.
Needless to say, it’s pretty frustrating as I like to try and keep it all tidy and up to date.
I’ve tried a few things, I’ve done the Plex dance which obviously temporarily fixes it until I watch another episode, I’ve emptied the trash, “Empty trash automatically after every scan” is enabled, “Allow media deletion” is enabled, “Scan my library automatically” is enabled.
Aside from all of that, I’m just not sure why it’s ONLY TV shows that won’t automatically remove themselves. Doesn’t make sense to me so I’m hoping someone else had this issue and found a solution.
