I have recently reinstalled windows. I reinstalled Plex and it no longer starts on a windows reboot. Must be manually started and randomly crashes. The only thing that is different on this windows install is that i have it set to log in with my microsoft account. Not the local admin account. Windows 10. I’ve downloaded the recent update of plex still does not fix the issue.
I suppose your question is about the Plex Media Server? Just double-checking as you tagged this post under the player-windows category.
If so… have you configured Plex to run on startup?
Hi Tom, thank you! Yes, i did mean plex server. And I do have that as my setting.
Which account did you use to install Plex Media Server?
IIRC, on Windows, the account used to install PMS should be the one to run it.
i used my default admin account. All i did was change it to not log into microsoft anymore. I also turned off needing a pin to enter the desktop. Plex keeps crashing as well randomly. If i uninstall and reinstall , does anyone know if I will have to set it up from the beginning as a new server?
