Plex has been installed and running on this TV for almost a year. I changed Amazon accounts so I deregistered the TV and linked it to the new account. Both accounts were from Canada. Now that the TV was reset to defaults in signed into the new account no matter what I do it tells me Plex is not compatible with my device. This is even though it was installed and working perfectly 10 minutes before and has been there since I bought it. I deregistered and reset it a couple more times and it just doesn’t work.
You have a Toshiba Fire TV and it’s a known issue that the Plex app for FireTV is not available on this platform currently. You can side load the app, I believe. See this thread:
Yes I did. I side loaded plex on an older version and it worked fine. All of the sudden a month later I was prompted to update to the newest version by the Fire TV and said “yes” now it seems to have the current official release from the amazon store. Weird but worked.
