Plex Not available outside your network

Server Version#: 1.13.8.5395
Player Version#:

I am running Plex on my windows 10 computer. The problem is that I am not able to get the direct connection going. It shows as the private is good to go and the public is not. I have tried to open the ports on my windows firewall along with the router. I have also tried to set a manual port. I am still not able to get it to work outside of my network. Any help would be very nice. Thank you.

Are you using any form of a VPN? Those make outside connections unreliable.

Is there a double NAT situation? That is do you have your router connected to a modem that is a router as well? Those require some special port forwarding to work or the changing of one or the other router into “passthrough” mode.

No, I am not using a VPN .

I have a AT&T U-verse Pace 5268ac Gateway Internet Wireless Modem Router. Would that require me to put it in pass through mode?

Not unless you have another router connected to that one.

The experts in connection issues should be along shortly. I just thought to eliminate the obvious.

Nope, that is the only router/modem. Thanks for the suggestion.
