Plex isnt removing any commercials, nor is it flagging them to be skipped. I have Settings → Live TV & DVR → DVR Settings → Detect Commercials set to Detect and Delete Commercials.
Do you have Ad Detection enabled in the libraries where recordings are saved ( either set to for recorded items or for all items? ( advanced settings of library)
sorry looks like that option was is only for the detect and mark for skip option.
Note the delete optionit will only remove them from things the Plex DVR recorded not from another DVR.
What did you record in the logs you provided?
Andy Griffith Show, Gunsmoke, Americas Test Kitchen. New logs attached. I havent watched any of the new episodes yet to see if its deleting commercials.
for the new beta today the option was added to allow deletion commecials from media not recorded from DVR. so in 1.41.0 that option should show in the library advanced settings with it.
These are all Plex DVR programs, recorded from the HDHomeRun tuner.

Just out of curiosity, do you find commercial detection on PBS shows useful? When I tried it, I often got the intros/outros majorly clipped. It has been a few years since I’ve had that enabled for PBS, maybe it has gotten better.
I haven’t ever recorded PBS, so I could not say. I have always had mine on detect and mark for skip rather than deletion so i can skip back if it misses the mark

I’ll test American test kitchen & NOVA over the weekend & see how commercial removal is working. Those are the 2 PBS shows I DVR.
